Sorry for the delay but before I started writing, I wanted to make sure that I was all settled in. We have a place here in Granada on la calle Jesus y Maria, so I guess that is a good sign. The place is only three minutes away from plaza nueva and el centro de lenguas modernas which is pretty convenient, considering we found a place that serves chinese tapas. The tapas are awesome most places offer a beer and tapas for about 2 euros and the tapas bars are everywhere.
Lately I've been trying to take different ways home and it's surprising every time that I find some new way to get home. The city is laid out in away that most streets point to the gran via or the plaza nueva which is cool because if we just head in that direction the alleys kind of funnel you to the center of the city.
Last night, we were going to get some drinks and some guy handed us a flyer about some club/ bar that we should go to. So we thought that we would try it out and see where it took us. We walked up toward the albayzin where I guess it was suppose to be but we kind of were distracted by the Alhambra and stopped in this little park and just hang out for a little. It was better than any beer would could have had a bar (but a beer and the view would have been nice). There were hippies singing and playing guitar near us, couples seducing each other, a few waiters walking home who were also enjoying the view. And the best part of the night is that is under ninety degrees. I hope there are a lot more nights like last night.
But I must go, I love and miss everyone back in California. Here are a few pics of the new place.
Nos vemos.

ReplyDeleteLovely pictures; I love the building at night! The top one of the window is just beautiful. Hope classes were good! Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us. I miss you!!! ~susan
ReplyDeleteYou live in a palace, seriously seeing your place compared to the dining room I inhabited in Paris makes me think I probably shouldn't have studied abroad in the most expensive city in the world.
